Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, USAW Level 1 Coach with a Master of Education, Bachelor of Science and Minor in Business Administration from the University of Toledo.
Sean Williamson is currently the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Detroit Mercy. Prior to UDM, Williamson served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Morehead State University where he oversaw 16 D1 sports. Before arriving at Morehead, he was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for football and basketball at the University of Kentucky. Sean began his career as the Physical Education Teacher, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, and the Assistant Varsity DL Coach at Lakeland High School. Before obtaining the full time position at Lakeland, he interned at the University of Toledo.
Before entering the coaching world, Williamson was a two time captain and played in 42 games for the Toledo Rockets during the 2004-2008 seasons. Williamson started in the 2004 Motor City Bowl and 2005 GMAC Bowl.
Raised in White Lake, Michigan, Williamson attended Brother Rice High School and lettered in Football (2000 State Champion), Baseball, and Wrestling. Williamson was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy in 2002.
